Rosslare's legendary Blue Whale
The fascinating story of a famous whale stranded in Rosslare in the 19th century, will be told by environmentalist Jim Hurley in Wexford Wildfowl Reserve on Thursday, August 1, at 8 p.m.
The skeleton of the Blue Whale, the biggest type in the world, is on display in the British Museum of Natural History in London.
Jim's talk in the Pumphouse Gallery is entitled 'Ned Wickham's Rosslare Whale'.
The event is being hosted by the Wexford Naturalists' Field Club.
Admission is free for members of the club and €5 for guests.
Light refreshments will be served afterwards.
