WEXFORD rock-chick Sasha Sangari Smith, the town's hopeful in RTE's The Voice, put in a guest appearance at the Wexford Able Disabled Club at Coolcotts Community Centre recently.

Sasha, the daughter of Sue Smith and Darius Sangari, recently made it through to the next round of The Voice as a member of Team Bressie after he appealed to her to join forces, saying he needed a rock singer.

Tony Murphy, from Wexford Able Disabled, said Sasha's performance was very well received.

'There was a good attendance, she has a huge voice and everyone was very appreciative,' said Tony, 'they will all vote for her'.

Sasha who had been very nervous during her blind auditions shrugged off her nerves during her latest performance in the show.

She is no stranger to the stage having performed in a number of productions in Wexford between the ages of 7 and 17 years.

Previously she spoke of the overwhelming support she had been receiving from people in Wexford since her blind auditions.
