Sentencing adjourned in trial for robbery on the double
A 20-YEAR-OLD Wexford town man who robbed two men of money has been remanded on continuing bail for sentencing.
Ger Connors, of Rosemount, Drinagh, appeared before Judge Barry Hickson at Wexford Circuit Criminal Court where he pleaded guilty to two charges of robbery.
Connors pleaded guilty to robbing both Kevin Reck and Conor Ryan of quantities of cash at Ferrybank, Wexford, on February 2, 2013.
When the case was called, Defence Counsel, Matt Gahan, applied for an ajdjournment to allow for the preparation of a Probation and Welfare report.
Prosecuting Counsel, Philip Sheahan, also asked for the preparation of Victim Impact reports.
Granting the applications, Judge Hickson remanded the defendant on continuing bail for sentencting to the October sessions.
