Sheehan's Underwood 'House of Cards' speech gets ridiculed
OUTSPOKEN New Ross Cllr Michael Sheehan was accused of using a speech from House of Cards at the meeting.
In a motion Cllr Sheehan called for a deputation with Minister for Jobs Richard Bruton for 'radical actions' to address chronic levels of unemployment in the county.
Chairperson and Fianna Fáil party colleague Cllr Malcolm Byrne called him up after his speech about the need for more jobs in the county.
Cllr Byrne said: 'I'm watching House of Cards and that did sound rather like a speech Frank Underwood gave,' to much laughter. Cllr Davy Hynes said the IDA has been ignoring Wexford and he was told to save it for a Vincent Browne debate.
