Showcasing Wexford crafts
TWO WEXFORD craft companies will be promoting their wares at Ireland's creative exhibition 'Showcase 2011' in the RDS in Dublin next week.
Mad4Hats run by Patsy Flood O'Connor from Gusserane and Paul Maloney Pottery from Barntown will be among 350 leading craft designers and manufacturers taking part in the trade fair which attracts about 5,000 retail buyers from Ireland and countries around the world every year.
'Showcase' which is organised on behalf of the Crafts Council of Ireland and promoted internationally by Enterprise Ireland, provides Irish companies with a platform for unveiling new products in craft, gift, fashion and interiors.
It will take place at the RDS from Sunday next, January 23 to Wednesday, January 26.
Patsy Flood O'Connor is making a name for herself with a range of handknitted hats, scarves, wraps and tops while Paul Maloney has been making tableware for the Irish craft market at his pottery in Barntown for over a decade.
Both craftworkers can be visited on the Wexford Craft Trail.
