South east hosts first 'Pumpkin Festival'
SUNDAY, OCTOBER 23 has been announced as the date of the first 'Pumpkin Festival' ever to take place in the south east. The event is being run to raise funds for two worthwhile causes - Saint Gabriel's Children's Ward Wexford Hospital and St. Colman's National School Ballindaggin.
The festival programme will include Halloween games and events such as pumpkin throwing, cookery competitions, face painting, pumpkin carving demonstrations, tug 'o war and much more.
A non for profit occasion with a strong emphasis on entertainment, the Pumpkin Festival is shaping up to be a memorable occasion for all the family. All the main events of the day will begin at 2 p.m. with the exception of the road bowling, which has been set for 10 a.m.
