Stolen lamp

GARDAÍ are trying to shed some light on the theft of a large garden ornament from a house outside Wexford town on Saturday.

A spokesman said that the four foot ornamental lamp was stolen from the garden of a home at Starvehall, Coolballow, shortly after 5 p.m. on Saturday.

The owner of the home returned at around 5.20 p.m. to find two cars parked there. They sped off when they spotted the owner's return, taking the lamp, worth an estimated €250, with them.

Gardaí are appealing for anyone who saw any suspicious behaviour on 053-9165200.
