STUDENTS WHO MEAN BUSINESS
AWARDS CEREMONY AT WATERFORD I.T.
YOUNG COUNTY Wexford students who mean business were honoured at an awards ceremony in Waterford Institute of Technology.
The Institute's School of Business recognised students who received an A grade in Junior Certificate Higher Level Business Studies this year.
Among those who received awards were students from St. Mary's, Good Council, and Our Lady's secondary schools in New Ross; Loreto Wexford, CBS Wexford, St Peter's, Presentation Wexford, and Wexford Vocational College, Ramsgrange Community College, Gorey Community School and the FCJ in Bunclody.
The awards ceremony for secondary school students in the south east region was hosted by WIT in association with the Business Studies Teachers Association.
Students attended with their teachers, parents and school principals.
The awards scheme, now in its seventh year, celebrates the success of Junior Cert students in the subject of business studies.
Dr. Tom O' Toole, Head of the School of Business at WIT said that in time, the Institute hoped to welcome back some of the students as undergraduates in one of the many business courses on offer.
