Suspended sentence

A MAN with two drink drive convictions already on his record was given a suspended five-month jail term on Monday as Judge Gerard Haughton added a third conviction.

The latest offence committed by 45-year-old Eamonn Noblett of Slaney View in Barntown occurred on the afternoon of December 10 last at Ballygoman. When challenged at the scene by Garda Sergeant Charles O'Gorman, at first he gave the name Colm Noblett and it later emerged that he stood disqualified from driving at the time. The father of two was bound to the peace and banned from driving for three years.
