Sweeney Todd information night at Friary Hall in Wexford
WEXFORD Light Opera Society is holding an information night Info Night for its 2018 production of 'Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street' at 8 p.m. on Thursday, November 9, in the Friary Hall. Anyone who is interested in taking part, in any capacity, is welcome to attend.
The show, a West End and Tony Award-winning melodramatic musical by Stephen Sondheim, will take place at the National Opera House from April 30 to May 5.
It tells the tale of Sweeney Todd, an English skilled barber, serving the men of London in his establishment on Fleet Street.
With some great chorus work, black comedy and musical drama, Wexford Light Opera Society can't wait to get going with this production with the WLOS team of Fintan Cleary Musical Director, Vivian Coates, Director, Eithne Corrigan, Chorus Mistress and Nicole McDonald, Choreographer.
Parts include Sweeney Todd, Mrs Lovett, Judge Turpin, Anthony Hope, Johanna, Tobias Ragg, The Beggar Woman, Adolfo Pirelli and Beadle Bamford.
Audition information will be available on the information night and auditions will take place in early December.
