Talk on healthy eating
DR John McKenna, author of 'Good Food. Can We Trust What We Are Eating' will give a talk on healthy eating and nutrition at Wexford Library on Tuesday February 27 from 7.30 to 8.30 p.m.
The talk will provide a great starting point to a new healthier you, setting out the cornerstone of healthy eating and giving examples of nutrient rich diets and explaining why they are so good. Dr McKenna will analyse the damage food processing does and will show you how to reduce toxins in your diet, how to change shopping and eating habits and show examples of good and bad preparation of basic meals.
It's sure to be an eye-opening experience as a lot of us are completely unaware of the pivotal role that food plays in our health. Dr McKenna has spent the last 25 years practicing nutrition in different parts of Africa, Ireland and the UK and is looking forward to passing on some of his knowledge to a Wexford audience, covering such topics as emotion and food, why food allergies are becoming more common, and much more.
This talk is completely free, however booking is recommended as space is limited. For more information, call 053 9196760.
