Teenage play

THE pressures that children face in school is the theme of a new play called 'Good Kids Drink Milk' which will be presented by a group of teenage actors in Wexford during the Opera Festival.

The cast who are aged from 12 to 18 years old have spent the past few months working with Bare Cheek Theatre Company on a project funded by the Arts Council.

The play which they wrote themselves in collaboration with a playwright, examines how young people cope or don't cope with the pressures that the Irish education system places on them.

It will be presented at the Presentation secondary school from November 1 to 5. The action will take place around the school with the audience following the actors as the play progresses.
