The finest foods that Wexford has to offer
THERE were plenty of delicious delights from all over the county on offer up in Wexford County Hall on Thursday as some of the finest foods that Wexford has to offer were displayed at a Lunchtime Food Fair.
There were fantastic food products from all over the county on display and even offering the odd free sample to the crowd assembled. Outside the sun threatened to shine and with the smell from the barbecue that Richie Doyle and Sons Butchers were operating, it finally began to feel like summer. Inside there was everything from the usual cheeses and milk from Wexford
Creamery which are enjoyed countrywide, to the slightly different 'Artisan Foods and Preserves' which offered a range of unusual but tasty products such as nettle pesto, cider butter and a collection of unusual chutneys.
With the sun shining, everybody had a hankering for some ice cream and, luckily enough, Oylegate-based Featherbed Farm Luxury Ice Cream were on hand to give out free samples of their delicious products. Stable Diet offered a range of delicious healthy snacks, while Sugar and Spice had an array of somewhat more sinful cakes, cookies and cupcakes that were mouth-wateringly presented.
