A number of Wexford tourism industry providers attended 'Meitheal', Ireland's largest travel trade workshop, in the RDS, Dublin.

The Meitheal format is based on a pre-arranged appointment system, with each supplier having approximately 65 ten-minute appointments, all of which are based on both suppliers and operators' specific requests. Overall, almost 15,800 scheduled appointments took place between the Irish trade and overseas tourism representatives across the two days.

Over 400 Irish tourism providers took the opportunity to meet directly with 300 top overseas tour operators with a view to negotiating business for 2014. Among the group representing Wexford tourism were Good Food Ireland; Treacys Hotel Enniscorthy; Dunbrody Country House Hotel; Brandon House Hotel, New Ross; Seafield Golf & Spa Hotel; Countrywide Hotels Ireland Ltd; Marlfield House; Talbot Hotel Group; Horse and Hound Hotel; and Hertz Rent A Car.
