Tipperary staff call for unity
THE WEXFORD meeting was attended by a group of staff from Tipperary Hospital who called for the supporters of all affected hospitals in the south east to show a united front.
'We have come here to support you because we are being subjected to the same threats,' said Dr. Paul O' Regan.
'We believe that people from the affected hospitals should move forward together with a much larger number of people fighting the same cause.'
Dr O'Regan commented that as clinical leader of the review group, Dr Colm Quigley visited Tipperary hospital recently and was very much in favour of the reconfiguration.
'I'm delighted now to see he has changed his mind and is going to defend Wexford General Hospital and hope he will do the same for Tipperary Hospital.' he said.
