Top Wexford singer Siobhán in concert

WEXFORD'S first lady of musical theatre Siobhán Meyler Fawsitt, pictured below, will perform in concert at Wexford Opera House in February.

Well-known Wexford Light Opera performer Siobhán is to present her own show, 'Cos I'm a Woman', in the Jerome Hynes Theatre in Wexford Opera House on Thursday, February 10, and Friday, February 11, at 8 p.m.

Bedsides many musical roles under her belt with well-known societies such as Wexford Light Opera, Rathmines, Glasnevin and Greystones Opera and Dramatic Society, to name just a few, Siobhán has been the recipient of AIMS awards for singing, acting and comedy.

'Cos I'm a Woman' comprises songs sung by and celebrating women. Having sung so many beautiful songs over the years, Siobhán decided to pick some of her favourites and put them together into a fantastic set.

She had always loved the very talented Fintan Cleary's style of playing piano and so it was only natural that he and his wonderful band should join Siobhán. Old pals and noted performers Des Whelan and Maria Fitzgerald are her special guests for this concert.

Tickets are €20 and are available online at wexfordoperahouse.ie.
