Tops of trolleys list again
FIFTEEN patients were on trolleys at Wexford General Hospital yesterday (Tuesday), according to figures compiled by the Irish Nurses and Midwives Organisation (INMO).
That was far more than any other hospital in the south east, as there were just four patients on trolleys at Waterford Regional Hospital, three at St Luke's Hospital in Kilkenny and one patient on a trolley at South Tipperary General Hospital.
The hospital worst affected by overcrowding yesterday was St Vincent's in Dublin and University Hospital Galway. 40 patients were on trolleys in both hospitals.
