Town stunned by sudden death of Kieran (42)

THE SUDDEN death of a 42-year-old Wexford father of two has stunned the town where he lived all of his life.

Kieran Gethings, who lived at 3 Brendan Corish Gardens, died at home in his bed after sustaining a suspected heart attack overnight on Sunday, January 23.

Originally from Kennedy Park, Kieran leaves behind his partner of 26 years Theresa (Kelly) and his two children, Ciara (22) and Jason (8).

He is also survived by his brothers, Noel, John and Stephen; sisters Mag and Eileen; aunt, Peg,; relatives and friends.

Kieran worked for many years with Thomas Hughes & Sons stone masons in Redmond Place.

A keen fisherman and an ardent darts player, he threw darts for a team in Brownes many years ago.

His remains will be interred in St. Ibar's Cemetery, Crosstown today ( Wednesday) following 11 a.m. Requiem Mass in the Church of the Annunciation, Clonard.
