Two in Wexford make tax settlements with Revenue

TWO County Wexford-based businessmen made tax settlements totalling than €160,000, according to the latest issue of Iris Oifigiúil which contains details of published settlements completed by Revenue for the period July 1, 2016, to September 30, 2016.

Paul Kelly, of Site F, Ballynaclash Beach, Beach Road, Blackwater, an engineer, paid tax of €29,951.07, interest of €16,276.92 and penalties of €8,985.32, totalling €55,213.31 for the underdeclaration of Income Tax & VAT, in a Revenue Enquiry Case.

Martin Scallan, a driving instructor, from 58, Whiterock Heights, Wexford, paid €63,234 in tax, interest of €21,999 and penalties of €23,678, totalling €108,911 for the underdeclaration of Income Tax, in a Revenue Audit Case.
