Two men questioned over death of woman in Wexford town

two foreign nationals were arrested in Wexford last week as a result of investigations into the death of a Lithuainian woman in Skeffington Street a week earlier.

The men were taken to New Ross Garda Station where they were held for questioning under Section 3 of the Non-Fatal Offences Against the Persons Act.

Gardai said yesterday (Monday) that the two men had now been released and a file was being prepared for the DPP, although investigations were continuing.

The gardai said arrangements were being made by the woman's family to repatriate her remains. The woman was said to be in her early 50s.
