Unhappy with IDA
THE FAILURE of the IDA to send an executive to meet members of Wexford County Council outraged councillors when they met at Carricklawn last week. Correspondence from the authority suggested that the IDA was in contact with Wexford instead through county manager Eddie Breen at the South East economic forum.
Fine Gael's Denis Kennedy described the response as unacceptable and Fianna Fáil's Michael Sheehan felt that the attitude of the job creation body as an absolute insult. Council chairman Oliver Walsh indicated that he would write back to the IDA renewing the invitation to send an executive to County Hall.
