Unregistered bike

A YOUNG defendant who drove an unregistered motorbike a short distance to a friend's house, was fined €200 at Wexford District Court on a no insurance charge.

Alan Murphy 9, Pikeview, Barntown pleaded guilty to the offence which happened at Larkin's Cross on July 10, 2011. His solicitor Tim Cummings said he was bringing the bike to a friend's house one mile away in order to store it there. He accepted now that he shouldn't have done it. Garda Declan Dennehy said the defendant was stopped on a very quiet back road a few hundred metres from his home.
