Volunteers to provide Christmas dinner to the needy
A group of volunteers has come together to provide a Christmas dinner for those who are alone at Christmas or who are struggling to manage, due to financial, emotional or other issues.
The dinner, in Glynn Parish Hall on December 25, will be a community effort to look out for those in need or those who are alone at Christmas. The event will be completely free, thanks to generous donations from many individuals.
A local taxi firm has kindly offered their services to bring people to and from the event.
It celebration will comprise a dinner prepared by volunteers, family entertainment, music, games and gifts for those attending and will run from 12 p.m. to 6 p.m. on Christmas Day. This is a non-alcoholic event.
Anybody is welcome to attend, please contact Claire Malone on 086 1611771 to confirm your place, as the organisers don't want anybody dissappointed.
