Wexford Drama Group presenting Portia Coughlan

WExford Drama Group are due to present their award-winning play 'Portia Coughlan' by Marina Carr for one last time before representing County Wexford in the Ulster Drama Finals.

The play will be presented in Dun Mhuire Theatre on Wednesday, May 17 at 8pm ahead of the Ulster Drama competition the following Saturday.

The powerful drama won several awards in different categories as it toured theatre festivals around Ireland over the past few months, giving Wexford Drama Group numerous reasons to celebrate.

As soon as the group closes the curtain on this production in which members have been involved since last August, work will begin on a summer production of 'The Man From Clare' by John B Keane which will be directed by Alan Corcoran and performed at Wexford Arts Centre in August.Tickets for 'Portia Coughlan' are €12 and will only be available on the night. Cash can only be accepted at the door which will open at 7.15 pm.
