Wexford festivals to get over €20,000 in funding

local festivals in County Wexford are to receive more than €20,000 in funding this year, part of a €564,000 national package approved by Failte Ireland.

With an average grant of €3,000 each, a total of 187 local events will be supported throughout the country.

Those in the Model County to benefit are: Wexford Fringe Festival, €4,000; Strawberry Festival, Enniscorthy, €3,000; Wexford Food Festival, €3,000; Kennedy Sumer School, €2,500; New Ross Piano Festival, €2,000; Wexford Spiegeltent Festival, €2,000; Battle of Vinegar Hill Re-enactment, €2,000; Wexford Martime Festival, €2,000, and Art in the Open, €2,000.
