It was a day of celebration for the Wexford Pony Club who were very successful in the Irish Pony Club National Tetrathlon Championships.

The club was represented in the Junior Competition by Flora Doran, Siobhan Ryan and Ellen Ronan, and the team performed brilliantly with Ellen finishing third in the individual shoot.

Grace Costello and Ciara Banville along with Ellie Holohan from the North Kilkenny Pony Club and Moya Whelan from the Waterford Pony Club finished the weekend in fourth place in a very competitive Senior Competition, which included teams from Northern Ireland and the UK.

The competition is run over three days and involves shooting and swimming at The Watershed, Kilkenny, cross country riding at Grove Estate, Tipperary and running at Clonmel Racecourse.

Meanwhile, the club were also delighted to be presented with the 'Sally Everett Memorial Trophy' for best newcomers as this was the first time they have received this accolade.
