Wexford voices take part in the 'Big Sing' in Dundrum

MEMBERS OF Wexford Festival Singers raised their voices at the Big Sing in Dundrum Shopping Centre.

Shoppers stopped in their tracks as 400 choir members from all over Ireland broke into the Hallelujah Chorus from Handel's Messiah in the central concourse of the centre.

The rousing rendition, accompanied by Fergal Caulfield on the organ, was enthusiastically received by the crowds.

Wexford Festival Singers were taking a break from rehearsals for their Opera Festival concert on Monday, October 31 in the Friary Church at 2 p.m.

An all-star cast of Wexford soloists Miriam Mulhall, Roisin Dempsey and Grainne Stafford will sing the Vivalid Gloria and the Faure Requiem.

Tickets are available from choir members and Whites for Music.
