The show is called 'Do You Believe In Magic', specially written by Damian Breen. Thursday's performance is the first in a three-night run at the community centre in Ferns which is sure to entertain.
OPERA IN THE CINEMA
Umberto Giordano's fourth opera, 'Andrea Chenier', is live from Covent Garden, London, in Movies@Gorey at 7.15 p.m.
FRIDAY, JANUARY 30
The annual RNLI table quiz takes place at 8 p.m. in the Wexford Harbour Boat and Tennis Club. All are welcome.
CREDIT UNION SCHOOLS QUIZ
Gorey Credit Union will hold preliminary rounds of the Credit Union National Schools Quiz at 7 p.m., in St Joseph's Primary School, Creagh, Gorey. Each school in the Credit Union area has been invited to an under-11 team and an under-13 team. The winning team from each section will go on to the Chapter stage of the competition, and the winners from there qualify for the national final.
'A WAKE IN THE WEST'
The newly formed Ballyoughter Drama Group will present the three-act comedy 'A Wake in the West' by Michael J Ginley, in Camolin Hall, at 8 p.m. Doors open at 7.30 p.m.
This is the group's first play, and proceeds go to Ballyoughter NS. Tickets €10 for adults, €5 for children.
The cast includes Desmond Sullivan, Declan Roche, Peadar Carter, Mick Carter, James Murphy, Ann Hamilton, Margaret Doyle, Sheila Murphy and Annette Rowsome.
The play is directed by Vincent Tighe. Booking is advised. Tickets are available from 086 4097930.
STRICTLY COME DANCING
Gorey Community School's Strictly Come Dancing semi-final takes place in The Amber Springs Hotel, Gorey, at 8 p.m. Entry is €10 for adults, and €5 for children. All welcome. Tickets are on sale in the school or from Jalanda on Esmonde Street, Gorey.
Ballygarrett Réalt na Mara GAA Club is holding a Five Card Poker Classic in Ballygarrett GAA complex at 8 p.m. There's €1,000 prize money. Tickets are €20, and are available on the door or from committee members. The event will have a bar and refreshments.
So come on and get those poker faces on - and maybe lady luck might shine on the night, or you might bluff your way to winning the grand prize.

a Benefit night for Johnny Murphy of Ballmurn will be held in Hotel Curracloe at 8pm.
Fundraising evening for Mayglass Church. The event will also include a raffle for a vintage tractor at 10pm.
Opening of Submission Art Exhibition at 12 noon at Greenacres in Wexfprd by David McLoughlin, chief executive of Wexford Festival Opera.
BATTLE OF THE BORDER
The Battle of the Border will be fought in The Amber Springs Hotel, Gorey, at 8 p.m. sharp. Craanford Fr O'Regan's GAA Club will take on Kilanerin-Ballyfad GAA Club in an epic boxing tournament.
Each boxer has trained hard for the past few months and it promises to be a great evening. Tickets at €20 are available from the boxers, and from Doyle's Gala in Craanford, Murphy's in Kilanerin, and on the door. Doors open at 7 p.m.

ELVIS TRIBUTE ACT
An Elvis tribute act performs at Wexford Opera House at 8pm. Ben Portsmouth captures, with remarkable accuracy, each stage of Elvis's career whilst maintaining a style and presence of his own. With stunning costumes and superb musicianship, this is one of the best Elvis tributes performing today.
In August 2012, Ben made history when he won the Elvis Presley Enterprises 'Ultimate Elvis Tribute Artist Contest' which took place in Memphis, crowning Ben as the 'Worldwide Ultimate Elvis Tribute Artist', the only artist from outside the USA to ever win this prestigious title.
Conradh na Gaeilge is holding a walk through Tomnafinnoge Wood, Shillelagh, on Lá Fhéile Bríde. Tomnafinnoge is the last remnant of the historic Shillelagh oak woods. Meet at the car park off the R749 at 2 p.m.
Bog run at Tinnacross
The Monageer-Boolavogue club enjoyed its 'Biggest Loser' event so much last year that its members are back getting down and dirty once more in 2015.
The run gets under way at 2 p.m. is just one of a number of events combining fun with the quest for fitness.
KELLY GREGAN MEMORIAL RUN
Family and friends of the late Kelly Gregan are holding a 6k Fun Run and Walk in her memory in Ballymoney, starting from The Orphan Girl. Register from 12 midday. Refreshments will be served afterwards. Entry is €10 per adult and €5 per child and there are also family rates. Proceeds go to Wexford Hospice Homecare, as was chosen by Kelly's immediate family.
