Wholesale beer licence

AN APPLICATION for a beer wholesaler's licence from a Main Street pub was mentioned at Wexford District Court on Monday. The application was submitted in the name of Megzboyz Limited, represented in court by Andrew Doyle. He explained how he and his brother Pat formed the company in 1999 to run the pub and off-licence at 81/83 South Main Street.

They found that there was a demand from other pubs for kegs of beer, especially at weekends, but had been advised by the Revenue Commissioners that they required the wholesaler's licence. There was no Garda objection but Judge Gerard Haughton adjourned to July 26 to allow production of relevant paperwork.
