A Wexford woman was accosted by a man who attempted to get into her car as she was stopped at the traffic lights at St Peter's Square near the garda barracks.

The woman said that as pulled up at the lights, a man crossed the road and tried to open the passenger side front door of her car. When he found that locked, he tried one of the rear doors.

Before he got a chance to get into the car, she put her foot down and drove off. She said the incident, which took place in late November, has been reported to Wexford Gardai.
