TWO MEMBERS of Wexford Scrabble Club are celebrating after winning first prizes in two separate divisions of the UK Open Scrabble Tournament.
Mary Doyle of St. John's Drive and Theresa Scallan, Curracloe Road, travelled to Coventry where they spent five days competing in the international event.
They were clearly in razor sharp form because Mary won 32 games out of 48 in division C and Theresa Won 37 games in division 4.
Both Wexford women had tough competition from their British and international counterparts.
They were each presented with a crystal trophy and a cheque for £750 which made the trip very worthwhile.
