Young man drove without due care
A YOUNG Wexford man who drove straight through a roundabout near his home has been fined €200.
Johnny Connors, of 18 Ferndale Terrace, pleaded guilty to driving without reasonable consideration at Clonard Road on September 16, 2010.
Judge Donnchadh O Buachalla heard that Connors, who was driving a van, went straight through a roundabout without yielding to traffic.
When stopped by gardaí, who witnessed the incident, he admitted driving without due care and attention. He was co-operative and apologetic at the scene.
The defendant, who has no previous convictions, told the judge he is unemployed and his father pays for his insurance. He was convicted and fined €200.
