CUTTING THE TAPE ON THE NEW-LOOK STORE: Bernie Riordon, Nancy Sherwood, Liam Riordon, John Sherwood , Roy McCabe and Margaret McCabe.

Staff at McCabes Sherwoods returned to their roots when they unveiled their new shop under the name Sherwoods Pharmacy.

The store, which is still running under the McCabes brand has been in existence in Wexford Town for over 50 years.

They decided to rename the store to keep the original Sherwoods name alive.

Along with the rebranding efforts, the store owners recently refurbished the interior.

The store was unveiled to the public last weekend at a celebratory launch.

5 GREYHOUND RACE NIGHT CHRISTMAS FESTIVAL FUNDRAISER. The annual Enniscorthy Christmas fundraising night at the dogs takes place this Thursday, September 21, at Enniscorthy Greyhound Track. Song project in Kilmuckridge

5 LOCAL SONG PROJECT: Traditional singer Aileen Lambert will facilitate a new project focusing on exploring local songs and unaccompanied traditional singing in Kilmuckridge. Starting this Wednesday, September 13 from 7.30 p.m. in Bridie Hammel's Pub this project will take place over the course of a number of weeks.
