Wexford Arts centre is launching a short documentary film made by film maker Terence White, which highlights the cultural diversity of Wexford with the aim of preserving traditions passed down from generations.

The documentary was specially commissioned by the Arts Centre and made with the support of Wexford County Council, Creative Ireland Cultural Heritage and Bliain na Gaeilge Scheme 2018 funds.

It features interviews with Wexford residents Karla Sanchez O' Connell originally from Mexico; Piper Ned Wall; Benny Mythen originally from Ghana; Bridget Connors a representative of the Traveller community; Billy Doyle, a committee member of the Rosslare Lifeboat Memorial for those who lost their lives in the Mexico ship rescue, Mirona Mara, a visual artist originally from Romania; Padraig Grant, Wexford photographer and Catherine Kielthy Dempsey of Mary's Bar in John's Gate Street.Council chairman Cllr. Keith Doyle will perform the launch at the Arts Centre on Wednesday February 27 at 6pm. All are welcome to attend.
