Garry Lombard in Colfer play
Master Storyteller Félim Ó Flaithulach is a new one-man show by Eamonn Colfer, whose last play, The Breakwater, had a successful run at the National Opera House in November 2017.
The new work is an exploration of the Seanchaí tradition in the form of Félim Ó Flaithulach, who, over the course of this one-hour show, tells three stories - Jaco the Dancer, The Degenerate Producer and The Completionist - while also ruminating on the function of story and its place in the modern world.
Félim is played by Garry Lombard best known for his work in Gorey Little Theatre, of which he is a founder and director. Garry has been involved in over 100 productions, winning All-Ireland awards for such productions as The Browning Version, A Time of Wolves and Tigers and Goodbye Daddy. His son Garrett is a well known stage and screen actor, currently starring in Druid s production of 'Waiting for Godot'.
Master Storyteller Félim Ó Flaithulach will be presented at Wexford Arts Centre on April 12 and 13 at 8 p.m. each night. To book tickets, telephone 053 9123764 or go to www.wexfordarts.ie.
