Great night of music as Frank celebrates his 60th birthday
Music and craic were in abundance last week as Cllr Frank Staples celebrated his 60th birthday.
The popular Ballycogley man said he had had a fantastic night in the Farmer's Kitchen surrounded by friends and family.
'My actual birthday was on April 20 and I didn't have the party until the following weekend but really there was a week of celebrations as my wife Trish took me away for a few days first.
'It was a great night and I really enjoyed it. It was lovely to see so many of my family and friends there. Most of the people were from Wexford but a few people travelled from Dublin.'
Frank was joined on the night by wife Trish and all his children with the exception of son Shane who is currently in Australia.
Other special guests were his mother-in-law Mary Sinnott and his aunt Janie Codd who is hale and hearty at 91 years of age.
'I was determined to have a party for my 60th', said Frank. 'It is a big milestone and I wanted to celebrate it. It was a very special night.'
Music on the night was by Corner Boy who were an obvious choice for him as Frank's son Leo plays with the band. Singer-songwriter Rachel Grace also performed on the night. Frank said he met Rachel at Wexford's Got Talent and was very impressed by her musical ability.
