A major exhibition of more than 40 modern artworks was held in the Stella Maris Centre in Kilmore Quay.

Catch 2019 - The Nude the Sea and the Muse, was organised by artists Andi McGarry and Lar O' Toole and featured the work of 25 talented contemporary Irish artists including many from County Wexford.

The official opening was cancelled due to the sudden death of Wexford gallery owner and champion of the arts and artists Denis Collins.

The exhibition continued for a week and attracted a large number of visitors and received very positive feedback, according to Andi who said the staging of a contemporary art exhibition in a rural setting was both exciting and unusual and a case of 'bringing the mountain to Mohammed.'
