New book from the Wexford Naturalists

A new book on dragonflies in Wexford will soon be flying off the shelves.

The book, 'Odonata of County Wexford', has been written by two members of Wexford Naturalists Field Club and focuses on the dragonflies and damselflies which can be found in the county.

The book will be launched at Wexford Library on Tuesday, April 21 at 6.45pm by Alan McGuire of South East Radio.

After the launch it will be on sale in bookshops across Wexford.

'Odonata of County Wexford', which was written by Chris Wilson and Nicholas Egan, outlines how dragonflies and damselflies, known as Odonata, are lethal to other flying insects.

All are welcome to attend the launch, where light refreshments will be available and copies of the book sold at a discount price of €4.

Song project in Kilmuckridge 

5 LOCAL SONG PROJECT: Traditional singer Aileen Lambert will facilitate a new project focusing on exploring local songs and unaccompanied traditional singing in Kilmuckridge. Starting this Wednesday, September 13 from 7.30 p.m. in Bridie Hammel's Pub this project will take place over the course of a number of weeks.
