New Padraig Grant exhibition
A new exhibition of photographs called The Actual by the well-known photographer Padraig Grant will open at Wexford Arts Centre on Saturday, August 31 at 3 p.m.
Padraig is a street photographer who previously freelanced as a photo-journalist for Irish and international newspapers and magazines including the New York Times and The Sunday Times (UK) and Irish Times and Sunday Tribune (Ireland).
The exhibition will include images from his Wexford Heritage series, photo-journalism and travel photography from 1988 up to the present day and experimental photography, including large format prints, photograms, multi-panel photographs and digital projects.
The Actual aims to link history with the present day and engage the viewer with images gathered from Grant's collections, portraying them in a new light.
'I travel and search for the universal themes. It is my desire to hunt for images in every part of this wonderful world,' he said.
The exhibition will continue until October 5.
