That Friday feeling!
CULTURE VULTURES were out in force in Wexford last Friday night.
The town was buzzing thanks to a series of free events put on as part of the hugely successful Culture NIght initiative.
There was plenty for people to choose from, with guided tours of 'old Wexford' for history buffs and Fiddling Foxes from Bui Bolg bringing fun to the town centre.
A broad spectrum of interests was catered for, whether you are into Irish dancing or Samba dancing - both of which entertained audiences in Selskar Square.
There was lots for children to enjoy too, with arts in Wexford Arts Centre, as well as a clown, puppet show and face painting just down the road in the Bull Ring.
Among the undoubted highlights of the night were the events at Wexford Opera House, where Myriad Dance put on a wonderful performance in the foyer and some of the stars of the upcoming operas showcased their stunning singing voices for an enthralled audience.
The music was of the highest calibre throughout the evening too, with performances from the likes of the Castlebridge Gospel Singers at St Iberius and the traditional musicians from Danescastle, who filled the Dun Mhuire with ceili music.
The last event was provided by the talented crew of the Cáca Milis Cabaret at Wexford Arts Centre, who ensured that another Culture Night ended on a most entertaining note.
