Hundreds of people enjoyed the Little Sea Musical Society's Christmas show in Carrig on Bannow and Fethard-on-Sea.

With over 30 performers aged nine and older taking to the stages of Carrig on Bannow Community Centre and St Mary's Hall respectively, there truly was something for everyone at this year's show which was called Mary Poppins Returns with Willy Wonka & Christmas Classics.

Featuring the younger KSM group, aged nine to 12, and the Little Sea performers, aged 12 and up, the group were rehearsing together since September for the show, which brought plenty of festive cheer over three nights. A Mary Poppins medley kicked off the show, followed by a performance by Angela Mahon in the Mary Poppins role, singing 'Let's Go Fly a Kite'. James Kehoe starred as Willy Wonka.

The KSM Young Voices group sang some songs and there were several solo performances, including 'The Place Where Lost Things Go' by Maeve Byrne, 'Stay Awake' by Ciara Breen, 'Feed the Birds' by Niamh Colfer, 'Chim Chim Cheree' by Hugh Reeds, 'More of Him to Love' by Keelin Martin and 'Sister Suffragette' performed by a small group of women. The crowd erupted in laughter at Martin's transformation from Mrs Gloop to the greedy Augustus Gloop, and sang along to Christmas classics.

Adults enjoyed mulled wine, tea and refreshments. All money raised will go towards the next show, 'The King & 1', in April.
