The children of the Superstars Stage Academy took to the stage at Dun Mhuire for a performance of 'Wicked in Oz', an original production which combined old classics 'The Wizard of Oz' and 'Wicked'.

Two separate shows were performed on the night, one featuring the children of Wexford Town and the other the best from the Superstars Enniscorthy, Kilrane and Rosslare Harbour class.

Sharon Clancy is the Academy Director at Superstars Stage Academy and she spoke of her pride following what were two very successful shows.

'Both shows went amazing with the kids giving it their all. Ciara Doherty as Elphaba and Kacey Mooney as Glinda wowed the audiences with their renditions of 'What is this Feeling?' and 'Defying Gravity'. Aoibh Cleary our Dorothy in the Wexford cast and Cailtlin Laffin our Dorothy in Enniscorthy cast sparkled in their roles.

'Our fabulous Wizards Albi Kitts and Carl Duffy played their characters in a magical fashion. Madam Morrible our Charlotte Gray, Mistress of Shiz commanded the stage.

'Scarecrow, Lion and Tinny played by Faye Jordon, Aoife Doyle and Amy Fortune were super in our first show and Sarah Conroy as Lion and Chloe Curtin in our second show were sublime in their roles,' said Sharon.

Thanking her production team for their efforts in ensuring the shows passed smoothly, Sharon said the next stop for the Superstars Stage Academy was its Movie Mania Summer Camps which will be running in Wexford, Enniscorthy, Kilrane and Rosslare Strand from July 22 to August 2.
