Doran book launch next Monday night

The main function room in the Riverside Park Hotel in Enniscorthy is expected to be packed to the rafters next Monday, October 23, for the launch of a book charting the life and times of one of Wexford's favourite sporting sons.

The great Tony Doran's autobiography is titled 'A Land of Men and Giants', and it will recall the many glory days he enjoyed with his beloved Buffers Alley and his county along with much more besides.

The author is Liam Hayes, the former All-Ireland winning Meath football midfielder, who has brought this fascinating account to fruition.

Given that Tony was revered by hurling followers throughout his playing career, the opportunity to shake the big man's hand and get a book signed will surely attract a big crowd to the launch.

Proceedings will get under way at 7.30 p.m., and it sounds like a night not to be missed for the Wexford sporting fraternity.
