Doran's Bridge in pole position

DORAN'S BRIDGE 'A' and Monageer lead the Leinster league after the first round was played in Ferns on Tuesday last.

Division 1: Doran's Bridge 'A', five points; Woodsmen, three points; Gouleyduff, one point.

Division 2: Monageer, five points; Monart, three points; Doran's Bridge 'B', one point.

The second round will be held this Tuesday, June 25, in Athy with a 7.30 p.m. start.

Results from the Wexford league - Division 1: Doran's Bridge 'A', five points; Woodsmen, four points; The Forge, three points; The Gap, no points.

Division 2: Curracloe, four points; Monart, three points; Monageer, two points; Doran's Bridge 'B', two points; McCrea's, one point.

The Wexford County Board would like to thank Vincent and Martin Tobin of KVM Transport for sponsoring the league field for the upcoming year.

Last week it stated that Walter Christopher was a member of Doran's Bridge, when in actual fact he is a member of the Monageer club.

The Leinster open Michael Furlong Shield team event will take place on Saturday next, June 29, at 6.30 p.m. in Páirc Mhuire.
