It came as no great surprise to hear that Liam Dunne was snapped up by a club team after his departure as Wexford Senior hurling manager.

The Oulart-The Ballagh man's focus has switched to the Dublin championship as he is now in charge of the up and coming Ballinteer St. John's based on the southside.

And his new crew learned their fate last week when the draws for the 16-team competition were made.

Ballinteer are included in a group that also features Lucan Sarsfields, St. Brigid's of Blanchardstown and Naomh Fionnbarra from Cabra.

Potential All-Ireland champions Cuala will defend their title initially with games against Ballyboden St. Enda's, Crumlin and Faughs, while Kilmacud Crokes, Setanta (Ballymun), St. Vincent's (Marino) and St. Jude's (Templeogue) are also paired together.

The last group features O'Toole's (Ayrfield), Naomh Barrog (Kilbarrack), Craobh Chiaráin (Donnycarney) and Na Fianna (Glasnevin).
