Fitzy star guest in Carlow

DAMIEN FITZHENRY has enjoyed a close association with Carlow in recent years, so it's fitting that he should be the guest of honour at the Wexford Association Carlow and Friends social night in Carpenter's Lounge, Carlow, on Friday, January 30, with music, dancing , craic and a bit of reminiscing on times past promised.

Damien is currently settling into his new role as a Wexford Senior hurling selector, but he got a good grounding in management over the past few seasons with the Erin's Own club in Bagenalstown.

Damien will perform the Carlow launch of the DVD of his glittering career between the posts, with all

proceeds going towards mental health services.

Music and dancing afterwards will be to Wexford duo Slaney Mist who are very popular in the Carlow area. Admission is free and the organisers are hoping for plenty of support.

The Wexford Association in Carlow has been in existence for 21 years.
