The first committee meeting of the year will be held tonight (Tuesday) in Clayton Whites Hotel at 8 p.m. Please make every effort to attend.

Congratulations to Senior player Lee Walker and his partner on the birth of a beautiful daughter, Paige.

A reminder that Under-8 boys' and girls' training has resumed in St. Joseph's Community Centre every Thursday from 6 to 7 p.m. All training is fully supervised by qualified coaches, and new members are always more than welcome.

Our club dinner dance takes place in The Arklow Bay Hotel this Friday, February 12. Tickets are currently on sale. This is a fantastic opportunity to get together with club members, young and old, for what promises to be a great night's entertainment.

Why not gather a group together and make a night of it? Tickets are available from Liz Gardiner (086-3879321), Deirdre Flood (086-8626829) or Julie Holmes (087-6695508).

We have entered a team in this year's Leinster Under-16 club football league. The group stages commence next Saturday, February 13, with a home game versus Offaly's Kilcormac-Killoughey. Throw-in is at 2.30 p.m. in Tomnahely.

Castletown family indoor market and craft fair starts back Easter Sunday, March 27, from 11 a.m. until 3 p.m.

If you wish to book a space for €10, please call or text Sandra on 086-3664145. All you need is your table (maximum eight ft.) or rail and your stock! Sell your stuff and make some money!

Tea/coffee and refreshments will be available, with loads of parking. Bring all the family, and entry is free.

We are extremely fortunate to be able to include our indoor arena as one of our facilities. Our astro turf pitch is one of the largest indoor facilities of its type in the country.

It is 200 ft. long x 120 ft. wide, and the pitch extends to the full size of the building. The roof, at 30 ft. high, has extra height to allow for hurling.

The arena is available for external bookings. Beat the rain and play in our indoor arena. For availability/external bookings, contact Deirdre (086-8626829) or Liz (086-3879321).

The arena calendar is available to view on the club webpage:

In order to keep the club notes e-mail service up and active, coaches/mentors must send in match fixtures and results to by 3 p.m. every Sunday. This will be shared with the website, social media and also sent to local papers.

Well done to our Under-21 football team over the weekend, beating Réalt na Mara by 3-12 to 1-2 in the Co. semi-final. They will now play Ballyhogue in the final next Saturday, February 13, in Patrick's Park at 2 p.m. Please come out and support the team and get your colours and flags out again.

Hard luck to our Minor footballers who were beaten by Gusserane/Fethard in the semi-final of the Jim Byrne Cup over the weekend .

Our club lotto is on this Tuesday in the Centre when the jackpot will be €2,000. Please have your tickets in at 8 p.m.
