The fourth round will take place on Wednesday, June 26, at 6.30 p.m. in Hollymount against Naomh Eanna. We wish the girls and mentors the best of luck. Your support is always welcome!

Féile fundraising is going extremely well, and a big thank you to Colm Byrne, Castlebridge Pharmacy, for his sponsorship, and to Screen and Castlebridge national schools who held a jersey day and a raffle respectively, with donations divided between the camogie and football club. It is much appreciated.
Wishing the Shelmalier ladies' football Féile girls and their mentors a safe journey and the best of luck at the weekend in Derry.
The Willie O'Leary Cup was held in Hollymount on Thursday last, and it was a fantastic day with fourth, fifth and sixth class boys and fifth and sixth class girls, 54 including 15 girls from Screen, Curracloe and Castlebridge schools taking part.
Congratulations to Ailis Neville who played on the successful 'Kilkenny' team, winning the award for best girl in the final, and she was joined by Nicole Byrne and Rachel Murphy. 'Galway' gave them a run for their money in the decider with a team featuring Aoife Fielding, Abbie Devereux, Casey Hall, Ellie Oliver and Amy Murphy.
The 'B' final was also a great game, and congratulations to Caitlin Carroll on winning best girl on the successful 'Tipperary' team. She was supported by Caitríona Kinsella, Hannah Kelly and Ciara Corbett. The 'Wexford' side featured Molly Byrne, Niamh Kehoe and Julie Hayes. Some of the girls who took part have yet to play with the club, and we would always welcome new members!
At the end a gift voucher was presented to Amanda Bolger by Alan Aherne on behalf of the club as a thank you for her wonderful work with our Rackard League team. Amanda was fittingly described as a 'gem' by Principal of Castlebridge N.S., Ed Lyons, and we are so lucky to have such a talented and dedicated teacher at our disposal.
Congratulations to two former players, Theresa Kehoe and Maggie Hearne, who represented the club on the fairways in the annual Wexford camogie golf classic held in Enniscorthy recently.
The Intermediate team will meet Oylegate-Glenbrien away in the first round of the championship tonight (Tuesday) at 7.30 p.m. A speedy recovery is wished to Michelle Harding who is nursing a long-term knee injury.
The club would like to extend an open invitation to anyone who might like to play camogie over the summer to join the Junior 'C' squad! Some of our Legends may be interested in returning! If this is for you please contact Alan Aherne (087-9217766), Fionnuala Hearne (087-2431891) or Kathleen Dooley (087-6815479) for further details.
The Junior team will meet Adamstown away, possibly on Thursday evening. Check out Facebook and the web page for details.
On the field it was a busy week with four different age groups in action. On Tuesday night our Under-12 footballers travelled to Clonard and came away with a handsome victory over the hosts by 8-10 to 4-6 which included 4-1 from Chris O'Connor.
Next up were our Under-10 footballers who played on Wednesday and Thursday, gaining victories both nights over St. James' (Ramsgrange) and Horeswood. Jude Bates fired four goals in Ramsgrange in a 6-8 to 2-2 victory, and on the same night our younger players also beat Ramsgrange with three goals coming from Josh Berry. A late Shay Doyle goal earned victory Thursday against Horeswood by 5-3 to 3-7.
On Wednesday night our Under-8s made the long journey to Cloughbawn and unfortunatley were beaten but played well, and on Thursday night our Under-14 footballers played the Geraldines at home and were beaten. Our goals were scored by Darren Cousins and Seán Carley.
Off the field all parents' help is required for our bag packing fundraiser in Tesco on July 19 and 20. Forms will be sent out this week and it would be great if all parents could volunteer for a few hours on either or both days. This money will go towards our fun day, presentation nights, Christmas parties etc. All monies go straight back to our children.
There was no jackpot winner last week and two match three winners. The numbers were 9, 12, 16, 27. This week's jackpot is €5,000.
The Junior footballers play St. Joseph's in the league on Sunday, June 30, at 2 p.m. away. The Junior 'B' footballers play St. Martin's at home on Saturday, June 29, in the league at 7.30 p.m.

ST. JOHN'S VOLS LADIES
Congratulations to the Wexford Under-14 ladies' footballers who beat Tipperary in the All-Ireland 'C' championship final last weekend. Niamh Buckley represented the club, playing at corner-back, and from all accounts played a 'blinder' for the county. Well done Niamh.
This was a very close encounter and it was only in the last few minutes that Wexford pulled away to secure a great victory. Some of our under-age players travelled on the supporters' bus to support Niamh and Wexford. Under the watchful eye of our one and only Denise O'Leary, these girls were Sarah O'Leary, Sally Walker, Chloe McGuire, Sadhbh Culliane, Eve Hession and Hannah Goodison.
Our Under-16s take to the field on Wednesday to face neighbours the Sarsfields. This should be a good match after both clubs played together last year under the name of Páirc Charman Girls. Come along and give the girls support.
Our adult players took to the field last week with Clonard ladies in the third round of the championship against Taghmon. Last year Taghmon beat us by just a few points and we were eager for the return fixture.
This year the girls played the best football I've seen in a long time. To say that the girls played well would be an understatement. They commanded the game from the first throw-in, their workrate on and off the ball was outstanding, their unselfishness in passing the ball and creating space for other players was textbook stuff. If the players can continue with this type of football and their commitment to training, they will be a very hard team to contend with.
Training times in Páirc Charman: Saturdays at 10.45 a.m. and Wednesdays from 7 to 8 p.m.
Training times in Clonard for Minors and adults are Tuesdays and Thursdays from 7 to 8 p.m. and Saturdays from 10.30 to 11.30 a.m.
Remember to buy your St. John's Volunteers lottery ticket every week (€2) and help support your club.

The Under-8s travelled to Duffry Rovers on Saturday morning last to take on the home side in the Go Games league. We fielded two teams, both of whom performed excellently. The games were played in blustery conditions over four quarters of 12 minutes each. The scoring was nip and tuck in both games with one of the teams losing narrowly while the other team enjoyed a narrow victory.
The players continue to improve with every training session and match and this rate of improvement is very heartening for the coaches and parents. The children who played on Saturday were: Philip Malone, Jay Redmond, Jimmy Murray, Finn Cullen, Callum Finucane, Lee Carty, Rory Ennis, Darragh Browne, Riain O'Rourke, Michael McMahon, Thomas Duignan, Peter Doyle, Colm Roche, Eoin Cassin, Kaylem Hartnett and Charlie Lawlor. The morning also saw managerial debuts for joint Bainisteóirs Seamus Redmond and Ian Doyle who now have a 100% success record as managers.

Under-14: Our Under-14s train on Sundays at 11 a.m. and Tuesdays and Thursdays from 6.30-7.30 p.m. Anybody interested in joining should contact Pat Henebery (087-2609958). These lads had a busy weekend, with one team playing in a tournament organised by St. Mary's in Tagoat. Thanks to Nicky Mernagh for inviting the club into the tournament. Another team played Glynn-Barntown at half-time in the Wexford v. Antrim match.
Under-16: Selectors for 2013 include Tony Walsh, Joe Hore, Larry O'Gorman, Eoin O Donnagáin and Ger Halligan. Training for these lads continues on Thursdays from 6.30-8 p.m. and Sundays from 11 a.m. to 12.30 p.m.
There has been a major effort within the club in revitalising the camogie section. Training has now moved for the girls to our all-weather arena in Páirc Charman on Mondays from 6.30-7.30 p.m. Anyone interested in joining or helping out with the players should contact Eoin O Donnagáin (086-3873544).
