Clonard Under-12 girls played Naomh Eanna in the Division 2 shield final recently.

Clonard led after the first quarter with scores from Emer O'Connor (1-1), Tara Murphy and Alisha Moran (0-1 each), while Naomh Eanna replied with three points.

In the second quarter Ciara Shannon and Tara Murphy added a point apiece without retaliation from Naomh Eanna, with the half-time score being 1-5 to 0-3 in favour of Clonard.

In the third quarter Naomh Eanna bounced back and scored 1-2 to Clonard's 0-2 from Katie Law and Ciara Shannon in a very competitive segment.

Both teams came storming out for the win in the final quarter with only two points between these well-matched teams.

However, it was to be the Wexford town girls' day as Ciara Shannon scored a point and just on the final whistle joint captain Caoimhe Rochford sent in a brilliant goal, bringing the final score to Clonard 2-8, Naomh Eanna 1-5.
