Special welcome afforded for Bishop Brennan

GAA Convention 2016

A special welcome was afforded Bishop Denis Brennan when he attended the annual County G.A.A. Convention.

Chairman, Diarmuid Devereux, extended a welcome to Bishop Brennan and thanked him for his attendance.

He also welcomed their President, Paddy Wickham, who has recovered from a recent illness, along with Club Wexford Chairman, Tom Doyle, also recovering from illness.

Former Chairmen, Joe Shaughnessy, and Jim Berry, were also thanked for their attendance on the night

Bishop Brennan acknowledged what the G.A.A. did through their club's for parishes and curacies bringing a sense of identity to those places.

He also prayed for the deceased members of the Association, while wishing the officers and delegates well in their deliberations on the night.
